This section contains information relevant to those patients requesting a private consultation with Dr De Lord.
How do I make an appointment to see Dr De Lord?
Please consult your GP first to discuss the referral. Your GP will write to Dr De Lord requesting a private consultation for you. On receipt of the GP referral letter Dr De Lord’s secretary will contact you directly to book your appointment. If you have private medical insurance, you will be asked to provide your policy details to her in order that we can process your claim.
Your booking will be confirmed in writing prior to you attending clinic. Please note that in the event of urgent referrals, it may not be possible to provide written confirmation prior to your clinic appointment.
What to expect from your appointment
You will have a half hour appointment with Dr De Lord. Half of this will be spent in taking the details of your presenting problem and past medical history. Please bring a list of your medication and allergies with you. The remainder of the consultation will consist of a physical examination, discussion of the findings, diagnosis and organisation of investigations and treatment if indicated.
