The internet is an excellent resource for information regarding such subjects as the pandemic; new treatment strategies; vaccination etc.. However, There is also a substantial body of false and misleading advice, particularly in the realm of social media.
I have decided to update the patient information pages of my website to give links to the current guidelines on the shielding and treatment of patients with rheumatological conditions. The sources I have included refer to UK Government/PHE guidance, the British Society for Rheumatology and Versus Arthritis (previously the Arthritis Research Campaign), as well as a number of charities of particular interest to patients with specific rheumatological conditions (eg Lupus).
